Calling local Food and Drink Producers
This is a new and exciting cultural programme, launching on the 8th May, which will reflect on Lincoln’s history and current culture. The overall programme is curated and managed by Thirteen Ways, Lincoln Arts Trust & the University of Lincoln and is supported by Lincoln Culture & Arts Partnership.
Our resident artist Kathrin Böhm (her biography and project summary are below) wants to present a Lincoln Pantry in the building as an ‘art installation’ in a former safe.
Kathrin takes local culture as a starting point for her work and so often uses food and drink production as a way of getting to know and working with local communities and producers. Her ambition is to create Pantry at our new space which is stocked with Lincolnshire produce, and is slowly filled up throughout the seasons. The Pantry will be used to cater for events which bring the different communities of Lincoln together. The Pantry will be publicly accessible and ‘exhibit’ what is being made locally.
Could you help us with introductions to producers? We would welcome contributions of Lincolnshire produce including fruit, vegetables, cheese and eggs or preserved foods, to slowly fill our store. At some point in the future meat might also be useful but certainly not yet.
